This is great Biekte. I truly love this series. The God Emperor book is my all-time favorite b/c it's a powerful influence for my deep obsession with Amazons & Aliens.

One minor gripe - The book mentions his face is red. This is reflected in the cover art. I personally preferred Paul-Muad'dib as a main character (as he was in the first two books), but nothing in the Dune series could possibly be called anything less than amazing.

Are you sure about the face? I just don't remember that and always had the inpression, that his face was totaly normal. M, dunno, I prefer Leto II, cause Muad'Dib after the first book became cowardly, egoistic feminine guy and Leto II was great right till the end and even after that :D

I doubt I can fish out the quote, but I might. And I did like Leto II as well, I just preferred Paul-Muad'Dib, especially in the first book. Maybe it's just that he seemed so epic, but by the time I read Children of Dune and God Emperor of Dune I was used to it.

It's just Paul lost a great amount of his epicness in Messiah of Dune for me.

I agree completely, and I do think Leto II was better than Paul-Muad'dib was in the second book. It's just he was so amazing in the first book it makes up for it. Besides, I though it was rather epic when he lost his eyes.

Mmmm...Can't agree. I think Leto II was the most epic character and there will be noone in Dune series better than him. There are other great characters, but none of them can come close with their abbilities to Leto.

I guess Leto II was pretty epic, it's just I have a certain attachment to Paul-Muad'Dib because he was (of course) the character when I first got started on the series. But I am sure of the red face. You're Leto looks interesting, but I don't really like your Hwi.
